Rose Martinez

Our beloved Rose Marie Martinez, 49, of Elgin Texas, went to meet our Heavenly Father, September 26, 2021. Rose was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Esperanza Acuna and Benito Blanquiz. Rose will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, playful personality, and big heart. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially her eight grandchildren. Her love for her family and friends will live on in our hearts forever.

Rose was preceded in death by her father, Benito Blanquiz; husband Angel Martinez.

She is survived by her mother, Esperanza Acuna; daughters, Magdalena Orta, Natalie Orta and partner, Luis Castillo; her sons, Mark Trujillo and wife, Natasha, Alfonso “Poncho” Orta and partner, Chloris Gonzalez; her brother, Joe David Blanquiz and wife, Lupe; her sisters, Maxine Martinez, Jenni Garza; eight grandchildren, Isaiah, Andrew, Aubrey, Amy, Grey, Demariz, Elijah, and Elias; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Rose was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Rose Marie will lie in state, Thursday, September 30th from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Thursday, September 30th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Home Going Celebration will be held at Williams Memorial Chapel, Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, October 1st at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
