Ronald Prinz

Ronald Gene Prinz, 54, passed away Friday February 21, 2020, surrounded by his loving family, at Round Rock Scott and White Hospital.  Ronny was born April 4, 1965 in Taylor Texas, to Lydia and Leonard Otto Prinz.  He grew up and attended schools in Elgin, where he was star quarterback and graduated from Elgin High School with Class of ’83.  After graduation, he attended Kilgore College. He spent most of his life in the Elgin area and was a long-time member of the St Peter's Church of Coupland.

Ronny is preceded in death by both his parents Lydia Cervenka Miller and Leonard Otto Prinz.

Ronny leaves behind his sister, Patricia and husband Todd Loughrige; his brother, Larry Prinz and wife Kellie Lapointe; his nieces, Lisa Prinz Jones, Lora Willis and Jayme Rice; and his great nieces and nephews.  Ronny was a kind and gentle man and will always be remembered for his friendly spirit and willingness to help those around him.  He was and he was loved and will be missed by many.

Family and Friends will gather at the Elgin Funeral Home for visitation, on Wednesday, March 4th from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM.  Funeral Services will be held at Saint Peter's Church of Coupland, Thursday, March 5th at 2:00 PM with the Reverend, Martin Garrison presiding.  Repast will follow at the church fellowship hall.  Ronnie will be laid to rest at the Elgin Cemetery, following repast, at 4:30 PM.
