Kenny Ray Morgan was born in the small community of Taylor, Texas on January 1, 1981, to the union of Billy Ray and Betty Mae Morgan. Kenny Ray attended and graduated from the public schools of Taylor Independent School District. He grew up with a Christian foundation and accepted Christin his life at an early age.

Kenny Ray was a good son, brother, and daddy.  As he grew in life and wisdom, he enjoyed his family times, listening to gospel music and others, as the event called for.  As a father, Kenny Ray had much joy and patience with his children whether it was a movie or a day at the park or just bringing lunch to school, they each enjoyed their roasting sessions whether it was good or bad, he always ended with saying “but you look just like me and I love you…”

Kenny Ray loved working out and hanging with his friends, but most of all living life to the fullest!

Gone To Soon … 42 years – 3 months – 29 days

Kenny Ray’s earthly life and journey was finished at the age of 42, on Sunday, April 30, 2023. Kenny Ray will join his grandfathers, George B. Wright, and Billy Morgan Sr., three uncles, Robert Wright, Horace Caruther Sr, and George Wright Jr.

Kenny Ray leaves to share and celebrate his homecoming his only son, Kenny Rayshawn Morgan, his daughters, Praysha Luckey, Raelynn Morgan, and Rayanna Morgan, his parents, Billy Ray Morgan, and Betty Mae Wright Morgan, his two sisters, Charlotte Morgan and Carolina Morgan; two brothers, Homer Jackson, and Jeremy Morgan; his beloved grandmother, Lucile Wright, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

Kenny Ray Morgan leaves behind a short legacy of life and love!!!

Kenny Morgan, 42, of Taylor, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023.  He will lie In-State at Elgin Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1st from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.  A Home Going Celebration will be conducted at Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, June 2nd at 2:00 PM with Reverend Joshua Reese presiding.  Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery.
