James Lee

James Edward Lee, “Bubba” was born February 23, 1961, in Hallettsville, Texas to Victory Holmes Toland and Bobby Ray Lee. He accepted Christ, guided by his mother and Church of Christ of Manor, at an early age.

James was a renowned resident of Manor, Texas, and a celebrated student athlete of Manor ISD, where he graduated in 1979. James was a hard worker throughout his life but always made time for the ones he loved the most. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. You would not have to look hard to see him BBQing for holidays and family gatherings, laughing with his classmates he affectionately called his Brothers, slamming dominoes on the table or cheering proudly for his Dallas Cowboys.

James was called to his heavenly home on April 21, 2022, he will be greeted by his father, Bobby Ray Lee and several aunts and uncles.

James leaves to cherish his memory; his children; Veronica Jones, James “Man-Man”Lee, Porscha West, RoShanda Williams, Bene Williams, Ricky Gleason, Victoria Gleason, Kasca Lee, Kelsey Lee, Kacee Lee, and Chaz; his thirty-three grandchildren; his mother, Victory Holmes Toland and his sister, Scywillow “CC” Middleton. James was the endearing Uncle to Ty’Rion Thomas (she loved her Unky dearly). James also leaves to carry forward his memory a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends and family will gather at Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, April 29th.  A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Elgin Funeral Home, Saturday, April 30th at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow.
