Life’s Epitome

 “Old soldiers never die,
       Never die, never die,
       Old soldiers never die —
       They simply fade away.

Old soldiers never die,
       Never die, never die,
       Old soldiers never die —
       Young ones wish they would.”

On December 18, 1949 in our nation’s capital, Washington DC, Richard and Claudine Budd welcomed their son, James Lee Budd.  After matriculating through school, James made the decision to join the United States Army where he served faithfully for 25 years.

Growing up, James shared his childhood with his siblings and was nurtured and rooted in the admonition of the Lord. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.

James was blessed to have been the husband of Gloria White and they enjoyed each other’s company for nineteen years.

James was blessed with seventy years, and he leaves in God’s hands to cherish his legacy his loving wife, Gloria White Budd, Daughters:  Felicia Budd Hall (Keith); Catina White-Higgins (Carl), Leslie Simeon and Sandra Budd.  Son:  Patrick Budd (Tymeah)  16 Grandchildren and  6 Great Grandchildren,  Sister Cheri Monroe (Skeeter); Brothers:  Richard Budd (Gladys) and Derek Budd (Yvette), along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Awaiting his arrival in glory are his Mother, Father, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

“Now somewhere, there stands the man
       His duty o’er and won
The world will ne’er forget him
To him we say, ‘Well done.’
