January 1, 1948 — September 3, 2020

Isaac Edward Reese “Bottie” as he was affectionately known was born January 1, 1948 in Taylor, Texas to the late Andrew Lee Reese Sr. and Edna Laverne Harris. He was the youngest of three children.

Isaac confessed his belief in Christ and accepted Him as his personal Savior at an early age. He joined Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend R.L. Perry. Isaac immediately started working for THE LORD. He worked in the Sunday School, and Transportation ministry, and wherever else there was a need. Isaac later united with God’s Way Christian Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend B. R. Reese.

Isaac attended O L Price School in Taylor, Texas. He was in the first integrated graduating class of Taylor High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army. In 1978 he united with Patricia Elizabeth McDonald, to this union one daughter was born his “Sweetheart” Patricia Nicole Reese Harvey. Isaac loved his daughter more than anything in this world. One thing’s for sure is that you would not see him without his sidekick “Sweetheart” was right by his side.

Isaac had many talents, but his passion was fishing. He would catch fish and share with the community, especially the seniors. He enjoyed cooking, watching westerns, sports, and wrestling – he said even though he knew it was fake. He also loved music, especially blues, old school and R&B. He was a quiet man with love and wisdom to give. His favorite acknowledgement in a conversation was “EXACTLY,” which he passed on to his daughter.
