Harold Rudolph

Harold Eugene Rudolph passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, at the age of 76 on Wednesday, December 09, 2020. Harold, or “H” to those who knew him, was first and foremost a family man. He is survived and solemnly missed by his three loving children, Dean Rudolph, 51, Julie Nicolson, 48 and Brett Rudolph, 45; his in-laws Jennifer Rudolph, 42, Derek Nicolson and Dawn Rudolph; and his 9 grandchildren, Jordan Adkins, 24, Hayli Rudolph, 23, Jakobe Rudolph, 22, Mason Verner, 22, Brooke Barron, 22, Parker Rudolph, 21, Brett Rudolph, 19, Connor Nicolson, 17 and Cannon Nicolson, 10. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Ward and his brother, Phillip Ward.

H was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne and an MP in the Army. After his service he embarked on a career as a pipefitter, welder and foreman in the building of pipelines and power plants, both conventional and nuclear. He worked on the Alaskan pipeline. In his second career he logged over 3 million miles as an over the road truck driver and visited all US states except Hawaii. His knowledge of routes, roadways and roadside attractions was both a source of information and comedic relief to those he shared it with.

H loved spending time with his family and his favorite four-legged friend, Millie Ann Rudolph who sat by his side until the very end. He made himself infamous in every bleacher’s stand of his grandkids sporting events, where he would often be found cheering. H was an incredible storyteller and loved to hold court regaling people with his life stories. He was loved and celebrated.
