Eddie Buster

Eddie Lee Buster entered eternal life, peacefully at her home, in Elgin Texas on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the age of 87 years old. She was born on May 18, 1931 to Annie B. Davis in Ft. Worth, Texas and was raised and attended school in Brenham, Texas. She married Freddie Buster in 1947 and to this union eleven children were born. She moved with her family to Elgin Texas in 1963 and worked as a housekeeper for many years.

Mrs. Buster at an early age professed in Christ and was baptized. She was an active member of Pleasant Bethany Baptist Church for many years and in 2007 became a Charter Member of Strait Gate Fellowship Baptist Church where she served as church mother, dedicated choir member and member of Mission I until her failing health.

Mrs. Buster is proceeded in death by her husband, mother, and sons: Dennis Ray Buster and Freddie Buster Jr.; sisters: Johnnie B. Randall and Mary Bell; Brothers: Herman Davis and Willie Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Gloria Payne of Temple Texas, Dorothy Morgan of Elgin Texas, Florence Rushing of Houston Texas and Shirley Williams of Sugarland Texas; Five sons: Oscar Buster of Houston Texas, James Buster and Thomas Buster of Austin Texas, Larry Buster of Elgin Texas and Ronnie Buster of Texas city, Texas; one precious sister Verline Ray of Brenham Texas and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was a loving, caring and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, church member and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive guests in the Williams Memorial Chapel of Elgin Funeral Home, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 23rd. A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at the Winn’s Memorial Baptist Church, under the auspices of Strait Gate Fellowship Baptist Church, at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 24th with the Reverend, Don G. Cyphers presiding. Interment will follow at Westbrook Memorial Gardens, Elgin, Texas.
