Earl Joiner, Jr.

April 21, 1952 — February 6, 2020

On the day of April 21, 1952, in the small town of Elgin, Texas, Earl Joiner and his bride, Jim Ella Goodman, was blessed with their first born, a bouncing baby boy.  This gift from God was given the name – Earl Joiner, Jr.

Earl grew up and spent his younger years in Abilene, Texas, attending the public schools.  Earl’s father was in the house moving business and taught him the skill and safety of the industry.  Earl worked side by side with his Dad, until his death in 1992.  Earl shared his skills and became a member of the Carrol Bachmayer house movers.  Earl remained there until his health began to fail.

Earl met the love of his life, Mary Louise Bishop, in 1974 and this union was blessed with four children.

Earl had a passion for playing dominoes and traveling across the Red River.  He was a man with a big heart and a head full of hair, often hiding a domino or two during a game he was losing.  A man with a caring spirit and loved his family and friends.  Truly, Earl loved life and enjoyed it to its fullness.  He was a fun loving person and we will miss his smile and sense of humor.

On January 24, 2020, this God-fearing man, confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized by Reverend Don G. Cyphers.

On Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the age of 67, the community of Elgin began to mourn for Earl, whose heavenly departure was at hand and God assured him, that He is the greatest house mover. Earl is preceded in death by his parents, his maternal and fraternal grandparents, two sisters, Christine Elaine Joiner and Rosemary Walker.

Earl will be greatly missed, continued to be loved and appreciated for he loved his family.
