Antonia Mustafa

Antonia Volpe Mustafa, 72, of Austin, passed away peacefully, in the arms of her oldest daughter, Maria,
on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Antonia was a Christmas baby, born in Bari, Carbonara Italy on December 25, 1947. At the young of 5, she and her family sailed to Brazil in 1951. She met her future husband, Oduvaldo Ahmed Mustafa on September of 1969, while she was enrolled in Oduvaldo's family typing school. It was love at first sight. They married November 3, 1972. Ten months later in 1973, they had their first daughter, Maria Angela Mustafa, in 1975, their first son, Oduvaldo Ahmed Mustafa Filho, and their daughter, Angela Mustafa in 1982. She was later blessed with three grandchildren, Antonia T Blandin, and Edgar and Santiago Esquivel.

Antonia Volpe Mustafa worked all her life beside her husband. They were entrepreneurs and opened
various companies in Brazil. In 1994, she move to the United States, to be with her daughter, Maria
Angela and granddaughter, Antonia. Antonia was a strong, hard working and beautiful woman. She
loved to laugh, dance and sing. She always enjoyed the company of others and was often surrounded
by people. Antonia Volpe Mustafa will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Family and Friends will gather for visitation at the Elgin Funeral Home, on Monday, February 24th from
2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Christian
Funeral Mass will be conducted at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin, on Tuesday, February 25th
at 10:00 AM. Christian Burial will follow at the Elgin Latin Cemetery.
