Albert Blakeney

Albert “Al” Michael Blakeney, 82, of Corpus Christi, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday morning, January 30, 2021.  Al was known for his passion for music and entertainment, his high spirit, and his love for Las Vegas. He had an affinity for travel and large family gatherings and cherished every moment spent with his many loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Blakeney; his daughter, Mary Lou Blakeney; and his parents, Franklin S. Blakeney and Aurora C Blakeney.

He is survived by his three daughters, Carol Ann Blakeney of Maryland, Donna Lynn Blakeney of Maine, and Laura Lee and husband James Waterhouse of Maine; his son Robert Blakeney and wife Theresa Blakeney of Texas; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and his sister, Elizabeth Wilson of Sunrise Beach, Texas.

He will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, Tuesday, February 2nd from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  Family and Friends will gather for visitation that evening from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
