Veronica Wade

Veronica Lynne Wade Benford was born May 4, 1978, to Dennis Wade, Jr. and Jearlean Benson Wade in Giddings, Texas. Veronica was educated in Elgin ISD; graduating from Elgin High School in 1996. Veronica accepted Christ at an early age at Weeping Willow Baptist Church in McDade, Texas. Veronica received a degree in Medical Assistant from Virginia College in 2010. Veronica was very passionate about children and mental health education. In February 2016, Veronica became a member of the Bluebonnet Trails team as a Certified Family Partner. All who came in contact with her knew she was passionate and concerned about the families she served and the team she served with.

In 2006, Veronica married the love her life, Brian Benford. To know Veronica was to understand her devotion and dedication to her husband, children, family and friends. Any given weekend you could find Veronica at a Trail Ride with the 290 Riding Boyz, at a family cookout or just having a good ole fashion Sunday dinner with family and friends surrounding her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Wade, ,Jr.; her brother, Virgil Wade; and her maternal grandparents, Virge Benson, Sr.

On July 10, 2018, Veronica gained her wings, leaving to cherish found memories, her husband Brian Benford; her children Brandon Walker Benford, Monaye Snowden (Cornelius), Jazilynne Snowden, Marciza Snowden, Trae’vonne Benford, Kevin Benford; her grandson, Kor’Dariyenne Watkins; her mother, Jearlean Wade, her three brothers Dennis Wade, III., Kenneth Penson, and Kenneth West; her mother-in-law, Law Emma Benford; her sister-in-law, Margaret Benford; and a host of adopted children, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends.
