Sharron Cantrell

Sharron Cantrell, 76, of Elgin passed away peacefully on Friday July 23, 2021.  She was born in New Orleans, LA, in 1945, to Howard and Nellie Ruth Cantrell.  When she was a young girl, the family moved to Bastrop County, where she attended school in Smithville.  Sharron eventually moved to the Elgin/McDade area in 1982, where she raised her family.  Sharron always had a full house but was happy to welcome in more.  Friends of the family always knew there was a setting at the table whenever needed.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Howard and Nellie Ruth Cantrell.

Sharron is survived by her children, Marianne Henderson and husband John Walmsley of Boise, ID, Shane Alexander of Elgin, Melinda Ballard of Austin, Adrienne Hooyboer of Elgin, Marshall Self of Elgin, Ashleigh Self and J.R Mack of Smithville; her grandchildren, Jessica, Micheal, Christopher, Dianna, Brittany, Rachel, Sam, Kelly, Lily and Daisy; four great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Bill and wife Joann Cantrell of Bastrop and Marsha and husband Lloyd Nutt of Rockport.

Family and Friends will gather for a Celebration of Life at a later date.
