Robbie Dale Carter, 66, McDade, Texas, died August 30, 2025

Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 600 Sunrise, Giddings, Texas, September 6, 2025, at 10:00 am.

Born November 27, 1958, in Sinton, Texas, to James E. Carter and Pauline Williams Carter

Married Sandra Lee Molina June 15, 1999

Robbie was charismatic and liked by everyone, even as a small child, he was known for his storytelling. His descriptive words and attention to detail were beyond his years. He excelled in school at drafting, welding, woodwork, and art. Robbie was an avid deer hunter and angler since the age of 14. He used the meat to provide for his widowed mother and five siblings. As a youngster, he was always an entrepreneur, finding ways to make money. He sold greeting cards, made cinnamon toothpicks, made deer jerky on the clothesline, sold dewberries for $10 a gallon, and raised and sold honey on the roadside.

Some of his first jobs were welding, pipefitting, AC tech, and later became a Master Plumber and owned his business for many years in Pflugerville, Texas.

He loved to cook and won many blue ribbons in the county fair as a child. He loved to eat good food and especially enjoyed cooking for others. His crawfish boils were famous.

Robbie retired with Sandra and moved to McDade, Texas

Robbie loved his family. He treasured his wife, Sandra. He loved his daughters and stepdaughters, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were all a delight to his heart.

Robbie cheated death many times in his life, starting with a catfish barbell stab near his heart, followed by a rattlesnake bite a few years later. Motorcycle accident, sepsis from a ruptured colon, nine Heart attacks, three strokes, cholera, 300 Africanized Bee stings, and a 14-foot fall through a ceiling. He also had Kidney arteries collapse and heart stents to collapse, and 10 surgeries pertaining to his fall in the last 4 years.

Robbie had heart surgery 6 weeks ago, and 2 weeks ago was still battling A-Fib and congestive heart disease.

Through all of this, he never lost his faith in God to take care of him and Sandra. He felt like God wanted him to write a book about his life, and he did; he finished it last week. Soon to be published. His struggles and God's faithfulness are paramount in his writings. Through it all, he never lost his faith. He was always joyful despite everything. He made folks laugh even when it was an inappropriate time to laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

The last paragraph in Robbie's book says this:

I am now ready to hear God say, “You have fought a good fight.” “You have finished the course.” “Enter into the joy of the Lord.”

FINISHED

The meal barrel never ran dry.

God loves you! Love him Back!
