Remi Lelani Aldridge was born on August 31, 2021, in Austin, Texas, to Christopher Lamont Aldridge, Jr., and Kylie Timpson. Remi was baptized during her hospital stay on August 16, 2025, by Mr. Reid Langehanig, the hospital Chaplain, before her departure.
Remi attended Zilker Elementary School in Austin during the school year of 2024~2025. Remi was enrolled to continue her education at the new school in the Bastrop School District, Adelton Elementary School, for the year 2026.
Remi enjoyed her favorite cartoon & TV shows, Ms. Rachael, and Barney & Friends Imagination. Remi enjoyed nature walks at the park, car rides, and being a big sister and cousin to Kayanna.
Remi was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by hers. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Remi dedicated the most precious gift of her life to donating her organs to save the lives of many children and their families. We will always see our little angel through the eyes of many others.
Remi was called home on August 16, 2025. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Christopher Lamont Aldridge, Sr., and her great-great-grandfather, Robert Dabney, and a legacy of great-great-great-grandparents.
Remi leaves in God’s hands to cherish her memories with her father, Christopher Lamont Aldridge, Jr. of Bastrop, and her mother, Kylie Timpson of Round Rock; her sister, Essence Monque Aldridge, her first playmate and cousin, Kayanna Aldridge, her aunt, Kaneesa Aldridge, her grandmother, Danielle Liesha Benford as well as her extended chosen families by God, Taneeka Ingram family and Hope Jackson family, great-great-grandparents, Jimmy and Tammy Taylor and Stephanie Benford and Melon Limuel and a host of aunts, uncles and relatives.
Although Remi's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As you play with the Angels, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
“Allow the light and the healing presence
of Christ to shine brightly through your lives.
In that way, all those who come in contact with you
will discover the loving kindness of God.”
Family and Friends will gather to remember Remi’s precious life on Saturday, October 4th, at The Gathering of Bastrop at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
