Ora Mae Milligan

Let not your heart be troubled, Ye believe in God, believe also in me… John 14:1

The epitome of elegance and steadfast faith, Mrs. Ora Mae Milligan entered Eternal rest on December 9, 2025. Ora Mae was born to Sezar Milligan and Helen Webb on July 10, 1945, in Rosebud, Texas. She attended the public schools of the Elgin Independent School District.

Growing up with a strong Christian foundation, Ora Mae was baptized at an early age and learned what it meant to fear the Lord.

Ora worked in housekeeping at hotels, on an assembly line in production, and as a health care provider with a Hospice Team.

Ora enjoyed and loved her family. Family times had a special meaning to her, for she could count her blessings one by one. Ora was a faithful member of #1 Church God and Christ in Austin under the leadership of Superintendent Robert Davis. Ora Mae lived and loved life to its fullness.

Awaiting Ora Mae’s arrival in Glory are her family and friends, whom she had missed on this side of the river.

After seeing her family grow to four generations, her legacy will be long remembered and cherished by her only child, Linda Ann Washington, three grandsons, Andre (Synthia), Marcus (Sara), and Takoya; nine great grandchildren, and two great – great grandchildren; three siblings are Evangelist Dorothy Beck, Ray Charles Milligan, and Earnestine Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives covering three and four generations, all who loved her dearly.

We appreciate your love, friendship, visits, phone calls, lovely cards, flowers, other gifts, and the continual words of comfort you have shared with us as we prepare to say our final farewell. Your presence and prayers have meant the world to us. Please continue to lift our family in prayer, and May God bless each of you. 

It is with profound sorrow and deep affection that we announce the passing of Mrs. Ora Mae Milligan, aged 80, of Austin, on December 9, 2025. Family and Friends will gather for the Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 18th, with the Wake Service commencing at 6:30 PM. You are cordially invited to join us in honoring her life and sharing your most cherished memories.
