Melody Adams, a California native, lived a life defined by service, strength, and compassion. She proudly served in the United States Army for 22 years, retiring as a Non-Commissioned Officer (SSG E6). A decorated combat veteran, Melody was deployed to Iraq from 2007 to 2009, where she served her country with courage and dedication.
Beyond her military service, Melody was known as a helper in her community—someone who stepped forward when others were in need and offered support with a generous heart. Her commitment to service did not end with her uniform; it was a defining part of who she was.
Melody shared 25 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Wayne Adams. She is also survived by her father, Felix Vega Ortiz; her siblings, Edgar Ortiz, Rogaleo “Junior” Fajardo, Letty Rodriguez, Felix Vega Ortiz Jr., and Fabian Haro Ortiz; as well as many extended family members, friends, and fellow service members.
Melody Adams will be deeply missed and forever honored for her service, her love, and the positive impact she made in the lives of those around her.
