Deacon McKinley Mayfield, 66, of Elgin, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, March 13, 2021. Survived by his wife, Gloria. He will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, Thursday, March 18th from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Saint James Missionary Baptist Church of Austin, under the auspices of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Elgin, Friday, March 19th at 11:00 AM with the Reverend, R. W. Carter presiding. Interment with Military Honors, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery of Killeen, is scheduled for Monday, March 29th at 1:00 PM.
