With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our dear brother, Magerald S. Wilson, who peacefully departed this world on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the age of 57. Born on October 22, 1966, Magerald was the beloved son of Bernice Sephus and the late Charles Wilson. He was lovingly raised by his devoted mother, Bernice and stepfather, Roy L. Sephus.

Magerald's journey through life was marked by notable achievements and a passion for sports. A proud graduate of Baumholder American High School, he etched his name as a star in both football and basketball leaving an enduring legacy on the court and field. Magerald's dedication, skill, and sportsmanship earned him admiration and respect from all who had the pleasure of witnessing his talents.

In his professional life, Magerald was a dedicated and hardworking individual. His last days were spent at Oakcrest Manor Nursing Home in Austin, TX, where his compassionate nature and genuine care for others made him beloved by colleagues and residents alike.

Magerald leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his cherished children: Jason Guynn (Columbus, GA), Monica Mitchell (Austin, TX), Ashley Mayzone (Houston, TX), Marcus Cain (Indian Springs, NV), and Malik Wilson (Virgina Beach, VA), along with a host of grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life, his devoted mother, Bernice and stepfather, Roy L. Sephus and his wife Mary Mayzone (Houston TX). He also leaves a very special friend, Brenda Alexander (Elgin, TX). Magerald's memory will also be forever cherished by his siblings: Darrial G. Thomas (Elgin, TX), Charles Wayne Wilson (Killeen, TX), Stephanie Mcrae (Killeen, TX), Ronda Sephus (Killeen, TX), Anettra Dozier (Killeen, TX), Addrine Sephus (Killeen, TX), Charles Wilson, Jr. (Elgin, TX), Charles Moore, Sr. (Bastrop, TX), James Moore (Bastrop, TX), Terry Gibson, Sr. (Elgin, TX), Clifton Gibson, Jr. (Elgin, TX), Shirley Williams (Pflugerville, TX), and Janella Moore (Bastrop, TX). Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Wilson, Sr., sister, Mary Williams, and brother, Carlos Wilson whose memory will forever intertwine with Magerald’ s legacy.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to all those who supported Magerald in his recent years. Your kindness and compassion provided comfort and strength during challenging times.

May Magerald S. Wilson rest in eternal peace and may his memory be a source of solace and inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him
