Despite the hardships she faced, Karen met life with remarkable bravery, optimism, and grace. She lost her father, James Keen, as a young child in a coal mining accident, and her first husband, Charlie Weber, after just five years of marriage, to a tragic motorcycle accident. Her son James was only four years old, and she was just five and a half months pregnant with her daughter Jena.
Karen met and married Frank three years later. They enjoyed 48 great years together. After they retired, he devoted his life to caring for her. They enjoyed camping and traveling.
Karen’s family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1983, but she always considered Pennsylvania home. She loved shopping, playing cards (which she somehow always won), cooking traditional Pennsylvania Dutch recipes, and she never passed up dessert, especially ice cream. Her enthusiasm for decorating made every holiday feel special.
She spent her career as a nurse, helping others. Above all, she loved her family fiercely and would do anything for them. She will be missed most for her smile, sense of humor, and unconditional love.
Karen is survived by her husband, Frank Morgan; her son, James Weber; her daughter, Jennifer (Jena) Weber; her sisters, Deborah and Christine Dolan, and her niece and nephews, Drew, Shannon, and Shea.
Karen was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Weber; her mother, Ruby Dolan; her father, James Keen; and her brother, Thomas Dolan.
