Karen Rachel Clatter, 55, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Austin, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 30, 2021.  Survived by her husband, Dwayne.  She will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, July 9th from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Rosewood Avenue Baptist Church of Austin, Saturday, July 10th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Shorter Presiding. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Austin, Texas.

I am Karen Rachel Jackson-Clatter but everyone knows me as “Bone”. The younger generation calls me TaTa. I was born May 8, 1966. I was born to Naomi Jackson.

I am a graduate of Lyndon B. Johnson High School and I also graduated from Vogue Beauty College where I received my cosmetologist license. I was a very passionate licensed cosmetologist beautician for over 30 years.

On August 27, 1985, my son and only child Chance Jackson was born. I loved to cook, shop, gospel music, spoil the little people and I am a great baker. On Friday, December 13, 2013, I married my loving and dedicated husband Dwayne Clatter.

My journey here on this earth became weary and God saw the need for me in heaven. God came for me on June 30, 2021. I have so much I am proud of, grateful for, and leave to cherish:

My loving and supportive husband, Dwayne Clatter of Corpus Christi, TX. My loving son Chance Jackson (Whitney), my beautiful mother Naomi Greer, my three beautiful sisters Juanita (Kenneth), Tracy, of Austin. Lori (Randy) of Houston and my brother Terrance, of Austin. A granddaughter D’Naisha Jackson, two grandsons Chance Jr. and Caden, and one on the way. Sister in love Jayana Wootres (John), brother in love Rodney Clatter (Sylvia). To conclude, my bonus brothers Paul “Wedge” Long (Sonya) and Kenneth McDaniel (Natalie). My very special nieces Ashley Glover-Johnson, Austin Tx. and Trystan McElroy of Houston and my nephew Tyland Faucette of Austin. The ladies of Iron Sharpening Iron Women of God Ministry, and a host of other relatives and many friends
