Judie Ann (TRAVIS) STOVER

Judie was born on May 31, 1945 in Vernon, Wilbarger, Texas, to Eugene P. and Sarah "Lucille" (Boyle) Travis. After a long illness, she passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Vitas Hospital in Allen, Collin, Texas.

Judie grew up and was raised in the Tillman and Garfield Counties of Oklahoma. On December 27, 1963, Judie married Charles Olin Stover. While their marriage ended in 1979, they remained close friends. Judie never remarried.

Judie had been a long-term resident of Carrollton, Texas. She graduated in 1985, from the University of Texas at Dallas, and worked for many years for the Thompson-Reuters Corporation before her retirement.

Judie was proceeded in death by her parents Eugene and Lucille Travis; all eight of her siblings, Virginia "Louise" (Homer) Umbenhower of Los Angeles, California, Charles (Bud) Vannoy (Anna) Travis of Enid, Oklahoma, Mary Ethel (Guido) Franciamore of Enfield, Connecticut., Betty Jean (Kelton) Keyes of Davidson, Oklahoma, Joan (Floyd) Brewer of Hutchinson, Kansas, Doris LaJune Travis of Davidson, Oklahoma, Ray Allen (Thelma) Travis of Enid, Oklahoma and Ronald Eugene (Gloria) Travis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Judie is survived by two in-laws, Thelma Travis and Floyd Brewer; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Because of her infectious laugh, great smile and many kindnesses, she also leaves a vast host of endeared friends. Judie (Travis) Stover will be greatly missed! 

Family and friends gathered at Memorial Park Cemetery of Enid, Oklahoma, to lay her Earthly Remains to Rest, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Arrangements and care were entrusted to the staff of Elgin Funeral Home.
