Deacon Joe Louis Gilmore

Deacon Joe Louis Gilmore, 88, of Lexington, passed away Thursday morning, February 1, 2024.  He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn.  He will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, February 9th from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.  A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Lincoln, Saturday, February 10th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chance Taylor presiding.  Interment with Military Honors will be conducted at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Wednesday, February 14th at 2:15 PM.
