Jody Collins

Jody Lynn Collins, 42, of Elgin, passed away on October 16, 2018. Jody was born to Dianne Cannon and David McClellan, in Alvin, Texas on August 5, 1976. She grew up in the Austin area. While living in Gonzales, Tx she met her husband, Carroll, at the age of 17, and have been together ever since. Jody and Carroll celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on September 27th.
She loved life and always wanted to help others; even in death she continued to give by becoming an organ donor. She loved her pets especially her Kit-Cat. Now they will be together again.

Jody is survived by her husband, Carroll; two sons, Tyler Michael and Taylor Mathew; both her parents, Diane Cannon and David McClellan; her sister, Amanda and husband Stephen Baird; two nieces Bailey Renee and Emma Grace Baird,

The family would like to express their thanks to all the awesome staff at Baylor Scott and White ICU in Temple. The compassion that they showed us, during a very difficult time, was above and beyond. We’ll never forget the special nurse who shared her mother’s words with us, “I've used my earth suit so now I'm going to get my heavenly suit.”
