Jeffery Perkins

Jeffery Perkins, 82, of Manor, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday evening, August 4, 2018. Jeffery was born to Joe Perkins, Sr. and Novella Sauls Duval-Perkins, in Austin on October 1, 1935. Jeffery was raised and attended schools in the small town of Manor.

Jeffery was preceded in death by both his parents; his brother, Joe “Bubba” Perkins, Jr., and his step-son, Henry Martinez.

Jeffery is survived by his wife and life partner of 33 years, Ana Galvan-Perkins; daughter, Joyce Houston; his six step-children, Anita and husband Ambus Habbit, Arthur Martinez, Jr., Benjamin Martinez and wife Cyndee, Fabian Martinez and wife Andrea, Candi Martinez, Maggie Martinez and fiancé Kevin; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family extends their heart-felt gratitude towards the staff of Hospice Austin and son-in-law, Kevin Townsend – we couldn’t have done it without all the help and support.

Survived by his wife, Ana. The family will received guests at the Elgin Funeral Home on Monday, August 6th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM with a vigil for the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service was conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 7th at 10:00 AM. Interment followed at the Manor Cemetery. The family would like to invite everyone to join them for repast and fellowship at the Manor United Methodist Church Hall following services.
