James Lee Kanada, 85, of Bastrop passed away Monday, January 22, 2024. He will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, February 2^nd from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Saturday, February 3^rd at 11:00 AM with Reverends Don Miller and Dennis Jones presiding. Interment will follow at Sayers Cemetery.
