On the morning of May 30, 2025, an angel came and summoned the bright spirit of our dear sister, Jacqueline Jeanett Deary. Her lips were sealed, and her soul entered Eternal Rest. With a spirit that touched the hearts of many and a presence that illuminated the lives of those around her, Jackie, as she was affectionately known, made an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Jackie was born on March 8, 1970, to LB Deary and Gloria Jean Deary in Taylor, Texas. Jacqueline grew up in the small community of Granger. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Judea Baptist Church under the care of the late Reverend R. J. Reese. She graduated from Granger High School.
Throughout her life, Jackie exemplified warmth, kindness, and resilience, qualities that endeared her to family, friends, and acquaintances alike. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to listen and offer support to others made her a cherished confidant. Jackie loved her family, always enjoying family time. She never had children but took her nephew and niece and showered them with her love and care. Jackie worked at the Sweet Briar Nursing Home in Taylor, Texas. Enjoying an evening out with the girls was a night on the town, playing Bingo, winning or not, was a soft passion. Her music of choice was Keith Sweat, Maria Carey, and Keisha Cole.
Jackie continued her membership with Judea Baptist Church until her death.
Awaiting Jacqueline’s arrival in Glory are her parents and her brother, James Henry Deary, her sister, Carolyn Deary, and her niece, Angel Gloria Jewel Deary.
Jackie’s legacy will continue to resonate through the memories created and the lives she impacted during her fifty-five years on this earth. She leaves in God’s hands to cherish her memories, her brothers, LB Deary Jr. and his wife, Candy Murray Key, and Lavoris Fisher, her nephew, Paul Edward Key Deary, her God-nephew, Eli Deleon, her God-niece, Katana Steward, her aunts and uncles, and a host other relatives and numerous friends, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
We are very sorry for her departure, but remembering her with much love and with the joy that characterized her, and Faith in God, continuing with her legacy with help us to move forward.
