Irma Maria Rangel was born in Tahoka, TX on April 6,1961 to the late Alejandro Flores and Juanita Perez she attended Hutto High School. She married Fernando Rangel Jr. on March 27th, 1982.
Irma Rangel worked at Economy Furniture and Xe Tel in Austin, Tx and Intercraft in Taylor, Tx.
Out of the 10 siblings, she was the youngest of the 5 sisters.
She enjoyed Dancing to Neon Moon with her husband Fernando, going on trips to different casinos with her husband, brothers, and sisters. She enjoyed watching football games with her late sister Rachel Broyles and playing cards with her nieces and nephews. She loved cooking meals for her family especially during the holidays. She loved meeting her sister-in-law Silvia at the fence and exchanging conversations or sweet treats.
She loved having barbecues with her son Phillip and RaeAnn. She loved to admire her garden with her granddaughters Aaliyah and La’ Nita, while she enjoyed watching them pick roses. She loved getting big hugs from her grandson Terry. She loved attending her grandchildren's band concerts and being involved in all their activities and birthdays. She enjoyed going out to eat with her sisters Ellie, Janie and Rachel and seeing her brothers Robert, Jerry, and Paul at family events. She loved listening to her old favorite Songs, Turn the Page, Time in a Bottle, Loco Loco, and hitting a country road with her daughter Corina and son-in-law Bradley just to enjoy the scenery. Her pride and joy was her grandson Enoch, who always kept her going. Irma loved being around family and friends and always gave good advice and a helping hand to her loved ones.
She was 64 years old.
Irma Rangel was preceded in death by her parents Alejandro Flores and Juanita Perez; Her brothers Emillio Flores and Alejandro Flores Jr.; Her sisters Olivia Flores Solis and Rachel Broyles and her nephews Rogelio Gonzalez, Adolph Flores, and David Solis.
Survivors include her husband Fernando Rangel, Her children Phillip Rangel (RaeAnn), Corina Starks (Bradley) Her grandchildren Aaliyah Pena, Terry Sifuentes Junior, La’Nita Nell Starks and Enoch Isaiah Starks. Her sisters Ellie Reynaga and Janie Garcia (Benito). Her brothers Robert Flores (Kathy), Jerry Flores (Tammy) and Paul Flores (Maria). She was also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
A visitation will be held at Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday, May 1st, 2025, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM. A Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin, Friday, May 2nd at 11AM. Christian Burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery.
