Ilene McAdams

Ilene McAdams, a matriarch of the family and mother to not only her children, but also a mother figure to many others, including nieces and nephews. Ilene was born on July 8, 1924, in Elgin, Texas, and passed away peacefully at her residence in Cedar Creek on December 2, 2025, at the age of 101. Preceding Ilene in death were her husband, Oran Lee McAdams; her son, Ronald Oran McAdams; and one daughter, Nancy Marie McAdams. Ilene is survived by her daughters; Shirley Cearley, Pat Holland, Kathy Stenson (Larry), and Jo Shell. She was the grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 19, and great-great-grandmother of 10.

Ilene spent most of her adult years being a homemaker and raising her family. She liked to sew, upholster furniture, make quilts, and crochet. She had a strong Christian Faith and was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church.
