Hortencia Gomez Garcia

Hortencia Gomez Garcia, a beloved soul of 87 years, peacefully to be in the divine presence of Jesus and the Saints in Heaven, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Her legacy is carried on by a large and loving family. Among those who treasure her memory are her 12 children: Dora A. Gonzalez, Robert Cruz, Gerardo Gomez, Eduardo Gomez, Pedro Javier Garcia, Maria Elena Mascorro, Esmeralda Guillen, Sylvia Garcia, Aljandro Garcia III, Lucy Montenegro, Norma A. Gomez, and Silvina Garcia.

Additionally, she is fondly remembered by 10 grandchildren who held a special place in her heart: Valerie Herrera, Yvette Herrera, Yvonne Herrera, Selena Herrera, Claudia Gomez, Melliza Gomez, Erica Gomez, Gerardo Gomez Jr., Vernoica Montemayor, Diana Gomez, Alex Garcia IV and Gabriel Garcia.. Her departure also mourned by numerous extended family members and cherished friends.

A time for remembrance and gathering will take place at Elgin Funeral Home on Saturday, August 3rd from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Rosary to honor her spiritual journey will be recited at 6:30 PM amidst the presence of Family and Friends.

In her departure lies a legacy of love and warmth that shall forever illuminate the hearts of those she touched. Hortencia's grace and kindness remain eternally etched in the lives she encountered during her earthly journey. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of divine light as her spirit continues to resonate among all who knew her.
