Harold "Skip" Sherrill, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 12, 2024, in McDade, Texas. He was born on July 8, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Skip was known for his deep love and devotion to his family. His personality was marked by the love he had for his wife and children He cherished every moment spent with them always put their well-being above all else.
In his lifetime, Skip found joy in various activities. He particularly enjoyed working in jobs that involved driving trucks. From dump trucks to delivery trucks and his favorite wreckers, he found solace on the open road. Additionally, Skip had a passion for riding motorcycles and reveling in the company of his close friends.
On the day of his passing, Skip was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully transitioned from this world. He was preceded in death by his mother Venetta Maples Wilkerson in 1997.
Skip is survived by his dedicated wife of 48 years, Bobbie Trader Sherrill. He leaves behind a legacy through his son Jerry Platt and daughters Saffron Brown (partner Mike Hansen), JoLene Pellom (husband Tony Pellom), Stephanie Najvar (husband Danny Najvar), and youngest daughter Angel Bidel.
He will be dearly missed by his granddaughters Robyn Bidel and Elizabeth Bidel, grandsons Justin Najvar and Gareth Platt, as well as great-grandsons Emeric and Adonis.
Harold "Skip" Sherrill will forever be remembered for the love he shared with those around him and the memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
