Geneva Prewitt

Geneva Ann Prewitt went to be with her Heavenly Father, Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the age of 78. She was born in Baytown, Texas the first of two children to James Leroy Carr and Eva Alice Hemphill on March 9, 1933. While attending Sam Houston State University, she met the love of her life, George Kemper Prewitt, Sr. After they both graduated college, they moved around while George served his ROTC Commission for the U.S. Army. The two eventually moved to Elgin, where George ran the family brickyard business and Geneva worked for the I.R.S. as an accountant. They briefly moved to Brownwood, Texas to expand the family business, The Texas Brick Company, where she managed the office and finances. In 1981 they returned to Elgin where they enjoyed ranching and farming. Geneva also enjoyed hunting, camping, motorcycling, reading history, and spending time with her family and shopping with her friend, Pat.
