Frances Sotelo, beloved mother, grandmother, and nurse, passed on January 23, 2024, in Elgin, Texas. She was born on May 11, 1932, in Rowena, Texas. Frances had a rich and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Frances served in numerous roles throughout her lifetime. She cherished being a mother to three girls one boy, bringing joy and guidance to their lives. Family meant everything to Frances, and she embraced her role as a grandmother with unwavering love and devotion. Her eight grandchildren held a special place in her heart and brought endless happiness into her life.

In addition to her roles within the family unit, Frances was dedicated to serving others as a nurse. Her compassionate nature shone through as she cared for patients with immense empathy and kindness. Frances touched the lives of many, providing comfort and support during times of illness and need.

Outside of work and family life, Frances had numerous passions that brought her immense joy. She was an avid fan of the Cowboys football team and thoroughly enjoyed cheering them on during every game. In the kitchen, she showcased her culinary talents by creating delicious dishes that delighted her loved ones' taste buds. Frances had a sweet tooth and appreciated indulging in tasty treats whenever she got the chance.

During quiet moments of reflection, Frances loved solving puzzles that challenged her mind. It brought her immense satisfaction to unravel intricate problems and find solutions. Additionally, she found solace in nurturing plants and watching them flourish under her care.

A woman deeply rooted in faith and community involvement, Frances actively participated in church activities throughout her life. She epitomized the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that are treasured within local communities. Devoting herself to helping others through various charitable endeavors brought tremendous fulfillment to Frances.

Frances is preceded in death by her loving parents Leo and Lola Galindo, as well as her cherished siblings, Pete, and Luke Galindo. Although they are no longer physically present, their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved them dearly.

Frances leaves behind a multitude of loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her sister, Pauline Gaild; children, Delisa Duran, Germain Mounce, Gregory De La Rosa, and Loraine Greenwood; grandchildren, Brittney Kittchner, Chance De La Rosa, Christina Mounce, Sophie Camper, Olivia Camper, Erica Ingersoll Lebadon, Kyle Ingersoll, Dylan De La Rosa, Jennifer Greenwood, Joseph Brower, Chase De La Rosa, Manuela Francisca mourn her passing but find solace in knowing that she touched their lives profoundly.

Visitation services will be held in honor of Frances Sotelo on February 9th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Elgin Funeral Home located at 712 N Avenue C in Elgin, Texas. Following the visitation, a Memorial Service will take place from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In this time of grief and loss, it is important that we remember Frances for the incredible person she was. Her unwavering love and dedication to her family and community will continue to inspire all who knew her. As we bid farewell to Frances Sotelo, let us carry forward her legacy of compassion and kindness as a reminder of the impact one person can have on the lives of many. May she rest in eternal peace.
