Emmett Marion Eary, born in Hamilton, Texas, and raised in Clifton, Texas, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, businessman, educator, servant-leader, and friend. He passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the age of 81.

Emmett was married for 59 beautiful years to the love of his life, Carolyn, whose partnership and devotion were the foundation of his family and his service to others. Together, they built a life centered on faith, love, and generosity.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; his daughter, Jill (and son-in-law Bengy Bersin); his son, Joel (and daughter-in-law Natalie Eary); his grandsons, Luke Eary and Declan Eary; his granddaughter, Bethany (and grandson-in-law Dean Luttrell); and his great-grandchildren, Micah, Abigail, and Caleb Emmett. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Eary, along with numerous extended family members whose lives were enriched by his steady presence and care.

A man of deep faith, Emmett loved God, family, and country. He was a charter member of the First United Methodist Church of Pflugerville, where his faith found daily expression through service rather than words alone. He sponsored confirmands at church and loved meeting with the Methodist men. His life was a testament to the belief that true leadership is rooted in humility and compassion.

Emmett dedicated decades of his life to serving the Pflugerville community. He proudly served as a distinguished member of the Pflugerville City Council in various capacities, always guided by a sincere desire to serve others. He was an educator by calling and a mentor by nature, impacting countless lives.

He volunteered as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) for children in foster care and worked with Pflugerville Victim Services, offering support to those in need.

Emmett’s volunteer service was vast—working with Habitat for Humanity, the Boy Scouts, coaching and umpiring various youth sports, supporting the elderly through Meals on Wheels and Drive a Senior, and serving with the Red Cross, Pflugerville Citizens on Patrol, and the Texas National Guard. Beyond titles, he quietly served neighbors—mowing lawns, caring for others, and offering shelter to those in need.

Emmett leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and a life of service well-lived.
