Clinton Dee Blaylock, born in El Paso, Texas on August 17, 1945, to Odis and Mary Greer Blaylock, bid farewell to this world on March 11, 2024, in McDade, Texas. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished friend to many.
Raised in Abilene, Texas, Clinton attended Cooper High School and Cisco Junior College. His thirst for knowledge led him to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Navy. Throughout his 20 years in the military, Clinton traveled to various bases worldwide, earning the rank of Chief Petty Officer. His dedication was recognized with accolades such as Good Conduct Medals and the National Defense Service Medal. Upon retiring from the Navy in June 1986, he transitioned into the medical field as a Medical Technologist at San Angelo Community Medical Center until his retirement in June 2017.
Outside of his professional life, Clinton found joy in solving crossword puzzles and expanding his wealth of historical knowledge. He eagerly anticipated watching "60 Minutes" and was an active member of the McDade Church of Christ, where he lovingly rang the bells before each Sunday service.
Clinton was preceded in death by his parents Odis and Mary Blaylock, his first wife Patricia Blaylock, and his sister Annie Slauenwhite. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness for his surviving family and friends. Clinton is survived by his beloved wife Cathy Blaylock of McDade; son Ron (Laura) Blaylock of Christoval; daughter Jennifer (Chad) Stanfield of Spring; stepsons Shane (Crystal) Moynihan of Bryan and Ryan (Maria) Moynihan of League City; stepdaughters Haley Moynihan and Amanda Moynihan of McDade; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
