Chesley Simone Glover Odom

Chesley Simone Glover Odom, 42, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at St. David’s North Hospital in Austin, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on July 2, 1983, in Youngstown, Ohio, Chesley was the beloved daughter of Keith D. Boyd and Tracey E. Glover. She graduated from Boardman High School with the Class of 2001 and went on to attend the University of Toledo, where she majored in Criminal Justice.

Chesley’s life was marked by her sense of adventure, creativity, and love for those around her. In 2009, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where later married the love of her life, Steven M. Odom, in 2010. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and three wonderful children — Harper Q. Odom (born 2013), Hudson X. Odom (born 2015), and Hendrix Y. Odom (born 2017).

Always one to follow her heart, Chesley suggested the family to move to Austin, Texas, in 2014, joking that her decision came simply because “it looked nice on HGTV.” Her warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit shone through in everything she did. She had a passion for travel, carpentry, and interior design — turning every house into a home filled with light and personality.

Chesley faced her illness with the same strength, grace, and wit that defined her life. Her courage and positivity touched everyone around her, leaving a lasting mark on those who were lucky enough to know her.

Memorial services will be held in Youngstown, Ohio, with details to be announced.

Chesley’s vibrant spirit, boundless creativity, and deep love for her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
