Charles Wayne King, 62, of Elgin, Texas passed away November 18, 2021. Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 1st from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. A Home Going Celebration will follow at 12:00 PM. Inurnment will be private.
Charles Wayne King was born June 16, 1959, in Austin, Texas. He was the second son of Jesse King, Sr., and Mary Etta King. He attended the public schools in Elgin Independent School District and with a strong teaching of right and wrong, at an early age; Charles professed his love for Christ.
Charles worked in the food industry which enabled him the ability to cook and meet new people. Charles was one that never met a stranger. He resided in Austin and later moved to Elgin where he spent most of his adult life. Charles enjoyed watching television but love wrestling and his western movies. He enjoyed listening to the blues, always willing to share his playlist. Charles had a passion for cars, playing dominoes and he loved his family.
Waiting to welcome Charles with opening arms is his father, Jesse King, Sr.
Charles often known as ‘Charlie’, leaves in God’s hands to celebrate and cherish his memories: his mother, Mary Etta King, brothers, Jesse King, Jr. and Joe L. King, his sister-in-law, Barbara King, his niece, LaKeisha King-James and her husband, Glynn James, Jr. and nephew, Bryan King, great nieces, Kyrah, Raeden, Cadence and great nephew, Braylon. He had special relationships with his aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved dearly; this host of relatives and friends will share in his memories.
