Carol Ann Hardison, 60, of Erie, New York passed November 6, 2020.  She was born in Springville Village, New York on January 26, 1960, to Richard and Betty Shimburski.

Carol was a trained beautician but found her life’s calling as a professional in the hospitality industry.  She and her husband catered many events together throughout their lives.

When she found time to relax, she could always be found curled up with one of her furry friends while reading a book.

Carol loved to sing folk songs around the campfire and laugh about the irony of life.  When it was mealtime, Carol had no shortage of interesting and delicious feasts that were all her own and never the same twice.

Carol gave her all and did her best, and not to impress others or to meet someone’s definition of success, but because she knew God was watching her, and He would honor faithfulness.

Carol is survived by her son, Justin Detrick; grandson, Alloy Detrick; granddaughter, Destany Detrick; her sisters, Ruth Hime, Donna Wimbish, and Patricia Hills; her brother, Bill Shimburski; and host of other relatives and friends

Family and friends of Carol Ann Hardison will gather for a Memorial Service at Elgin Funeral Home on Thursday,  August 11, 2022, beginning at 6:00 PM for the gathering, follow by the service at 7:00 PM. The interment with be at the City of Llano Cemetery on Friday, August 12th.
