With profound sorrow and a heart full of love, we come together to honor the life of Calvin Bean—a devoted son, loving father, cherished brother, and treasured friend. Born on May 26, 2005, at St. David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas, Calvin was the beloved son of Samantha Johns Anderson and Gregory Bean. From the very start, he illuminated every room he entered with his warmth. Calvin embodied a spirit of compassion, always embracing everyone he met. To him, no one was ever a stranger; they were simply friends waiting to be made.
In 2022, Calvin met Esperanza Montiel, and their love blossomed beautifully, creating a foundation built on mutual support and understanding. Together, they welcomed the arrival of their son, Jerimiah Montiel Bean, on February 15, 2024. Fatherhood transformed Calvin; with Jerimiah, he discovered profound joy and purpose, embracing this new chapter of life with boundless devotion alongside Esperanza.
Calvin’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, who revered him deeply and will carry forth his memory with pride. He is preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandfather, James Carl Johns, paternal grandfather, Gregory Bean Sr., and great-grandparents George and Beulah Williams.
Calvin is survived by his precious son, Jerimiah Montiel Bean; his devoted parents, Samantha Johns Anderson and Gregory Bean; his nurturing maternal grandmother, Lillie Silva; and his loving paternal grandmother, Shirley Brown. Calvin also leaves behind his loving siblings: Gabbi Linn, Isaiah Bean, Bubba Simpson, Shyona Bledsoe, Alexandra Clark, Tory Dominguez, Marquis Dominguez, and Rayshon Gadison.
We extend special recognition to Lewis Anderson, whose enduring presence in Calvin's life from childhood into adulthood was a source of strength, and to Melva Shaw, the grandmother who was always just a phone call away. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Calvin's brothers—Ryan, Jamari, Jaleel, Paul, Juan, Clay, and Izaiah—whose bond with him was truly unbreakable.
Though Calvin’s life was tragically cut short in an unfortunate accident on June 20, 2025, his legacy of compassion, strength, and joy will forever resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. We celebrate the vibrant spirit of Calvin Bean, who will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered.
