With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Bobbie Baker, who entered eternal rest after a long and courageous battle with illness. Surrounded by her loving family, Bobbie’s journey ended with peace and grace, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love, strength, and faith.

Bobbie was the devoted wife of Eddie Baker Sr. and a loving mother to Eddie Ray Baker Jr. (Cardrea), Kiara Baker (Demarrius), Jasmine Barber, and Staci Barber. Her love extended deeply into the next generation, as she was the adoring grandmother to Kristinia Baker, Ja’Niyah Baker-Lyons, Johnathan Sanders, Ja’Vante Sanders, Jamear Sanders, Josiah Sanders, Jeremiah Sanders, and Jayceon Sanders.

She was the cherished daughter of Virginia and Rickie Kerley of Miami, Florida, and the beloved daughter-in-law of Don and Mary Baker of Taylor, Texas. Bobbie shared a special bond with her sisters, Lucy Kerley (Willie) and Kenya Jackson. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her daughter Jasmine Barber, her father Bobby Ray Jones, her niece Alyssa Leah Baker, and precious angels Ava & Eva Recendis, Rafael Jr., and Aaliyah Dejesus.

A woman of deep faith, Bobbie was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Taylor, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Tony M. Sorrells Sr. Her dedication to God and her church family was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Though Bobbie’s earthly journey has come to an end, her legacy of love, perseverance, and kindness will live on in all who were blessed to know her. She will be remembered not only for the warmth of her smile but for the quiet strength she showed in every season of life

Services to celebrate Bobbie’s life will be held at the Elgin Funeral Home on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 3 pm. In this time of mourning, we find comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
