She was an avid reader, always exploring the written word. Traveling was a favorite use of time. Visiting family, digging her toes in the sand at the beach, rafting on the Snake River past the Grand Teton mountains, exploring Oahu and gazing over the Grand Canyon to name a few. Never afraid to try something new she even accompanied grandchildren to waterparks often riding with them. She was also a trusted and faithful member of Elgin First Baptist Church. Married for over 55 years a faithful wife and mother. Providing her family with finances, warm meals and tender love. Present for the birth for all eight grandchildren and great grandchild. She truly loved her brother and sisters. She never met a stranger, adopting all she came across making everyone feel like family. She truly was everyone's "nana.”
