Angelo Godinez

July 7, 2010 — May 18, 2024

Elgin, Texas

His Life was a blessing, his memory a TREASURE.

He is so loved beyond words and MISSED beyond measure.

You brought joy, happiness, and laughter to all who met you.

You will be sorely missed by everyone.

“When a person becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”

Our son, Angelo Godinez, peacefully passed away on May 18, 2024, to be with the Lord.  We will never forget his beautiful smile and kind heart, and full of joy that touched everyone's heart.

Angelo attended the First Baptist Church, where he learned about God and Jesus Christ's salvation. With a pure heart and a good conscience, Angelo put his faith in God and trusted in the Lord. He would like to watch the series “The Chosen,” where he enjoyed learning about the life of Jesus Christ.

Angelo was an ‘A’ and ‘B’ student at Elgin Middle School, where he took pride and was dedicated to achieving good grades.

Angelo was a very happy kid who enjoyed doing the simple things in life, like spending time with family and friends. Not only did he enjoy playing video games and watching TV, but he also loved being outdoors, swimming, and going to the lake.

Angelo found his thrill and excitement riding his ATV (four-wheeler) and looked like the happiest kid in the world with the biggest smile that we have ever seen.  It felt as if it was his escape to enjoy life and be adventurous.

Angelos loved all his animals, including his seven cats, two dogs, and his pet fish, which kept him company inside his room. He snuggled mostly every night with his two dogs and found comfort in sleeping with them.

In God’s care, to cherish his memories, Angelo leaves his parents, Angel Godinez and Erlinda Aleman, his little sister, DeSany Godinez Aleman, his big brothers, Nathan Mendoza and Ethan Mendoza, his fraternal and maternal grandparents, aunts and uncles, multiple cousins on both sides of the family, and abundance of other relatives and friends, including his classmates and members of the First Baptist Church of Elgin.

“Your wings were ready, but our hearts are not…”
