Pennie Moore Rhodes, 87, of Elgin, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 19th. Family and friends will gather at the Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, May 31st from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Home Going Celebration will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Elgin, under the auspices of Greater Mount Vernon Zion AME Church of Elgin, on Saturday, June 1st at 11:00 AM with the Reverends J.R. Johnson and Bunnie Stark presiding. Interment will follow at the Giddings City Cemetery.
